Finally the mobility measures are relaxed a little and the Catalans will be able to come to Baqueira/Beret to ski.
We have good news for you because Procicat met on Thursday March 11th and decided that from next Monday March 15th the regional confinement will be lifted and we will be able to move around Catalonia.
The measures taken are as follows;
The restaurant remains open with the same schedule from 07:30 to 17:00 h, so skiers who come to the Aran Valley can enjoy our cuisine at that time or at night with the Take away that have adopted a lot of restaurateurs to maintain their businesses.
This news has been received with great joy by all the ski schools, the hotel sector and of course the commerce, since since last January 7 there have been very few visitors to the Valley due to the perimeter closure.
The consequences of this inactivity;
has led to many businesses being closed for a long time because it was more worthwhile to close and have no expenses than what was being earned. The economic situation in the ski sector is pressing, as is the case in the sectors mentioned above.
From Bufalo Ski School we hope that people will be encouraged to come and enjoy our mountains and skiing. Apparently, as previously mentioned, when Procicat met last Thursday, March 11, it was finally decided that as of next Monday, March 15, the regional confinement will be lifted and we will be able to move throughout Catalonia for the rest of the season.
What we are asking is that things be done wisely, that sanitary standards and safety distances be maintained. Both Baqueira and all ski schools are very punctilious that these rules are carried out, so that skiing remains as safe as before.
