Baqueira in the Freeride World Tour
Confirmed, our beloved ski resort Baqueira Beret will host the first round of the incredible Freeride World Tour 2022.
It was a big surprise at the presentation of the most anticipated freeride competition on the circuit that took place on Tuesday, September 14 in Switzerland. And so the Spanish ski resort will be part of the most prestigious freeride world circuit.
Thanks to the orientation of the Aran Valley, Baqueira has one of the best snow qualities in the Pyrenees. And we must not forget the large ski area available and of course, the great organization by the management that has been demonstrated for decades. This is what has made it part of the Freeride World Tour family. Spain becomes part of this great event that always looks to great snow destinations.
Of course, it has the support of the Conselh Generau d’Aran, the city council of Naut Aran, the Diputació de Lleida and are talking to other institutions to support this event unparalleled in the area.
All of this will bring the world’s top riders to Baqueira Beret and put the Aran Valley on the map as an incredible destination as it really is. Also the valley has the Spanish rider who has been on the podium in this circuit, so it will be very exciting for everyone.
In addition, the whole Aran Valley is waiting to see live and direct the two great racers of the circuit born here. Aimar Navarro already has a great trajectory and we hope to see Abel Moga soon, who is younger but is coming on strong. The whole valley was waiting for confirmation that this great event was going to take place. So Baqueira will be on the Freeride World Tour.
